Curcuma longa, more commonly known as turmeric, has long been used as a spice in cooking, for its vibrant colour, and as a traditional form of medicine in many cultures.

Traditionally used for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties, rich antioxidant properties, and to support digestive function. It has also been used to help support skin health, to support the respiratory system and to help reduce joint pain. Turmeric’s’ health benefits are largely attributed to the presence of the biologically active compound, curcumin.
