Native to South America, yerba maté was traditionally consumed by the indigenous Guaraní and Tupi peoples for its high caffeine content and rich antioxidant properties. Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the nervous system and can support energy production, vitality and mental clarity. Yerba maté can be prepared in a teapot, like a traditional green tea, and offers a vegetal, earthy and slightly toasty flavour.

Place a heaped teaspoon (2 grams) of tea per cup (250ml) into a teapot or infuser. Add filtered water 75°C – 85°C and allow to infuse for 3–4 minutes. Strain the tea and serve.
