Assam CTC is organically grown in the fair trade tea estate ‘Jalinga’ in North East India between Bangladesh and Myanmar. Named for its production process, the tea leaves are crushed, torn and curled to enhance its unique flavour. With a strong, malty flavour, this tea can be savoured with or without milk and sweetners and is the perfect bold tea for the traditional breakfast admirer.
Place a heaped teaspoon (2.5 grams) of tea per cup (250ml) into a teapot or infuser. Add filtered water at 85ºc–95ºc and allow to infuse for 3–4 minutes. Strain the tea and serve. Add milk and sweetener if desired.
