WARM UP WITH CACAO CHAI

Our Cacao chai offers a blend of traditional chai spices, and fairly traded cacao, from the talented folk at Loving Earth. The aromatic spices of star anise, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom perfectly compliment cacao, which is rich in antioxidants and magnesium. Offering a smooth and creamy texture, this spicy blend is the perfect combination of chai tea and hot chocolate.

Our naturopathic teas are thoughtfully designed to offer an array of therapeutic benefits; our cacao chai is no exception. The three main ingredients in our Cacao Chai include the following:

Cacao
Theobroma cacao, is the main ingredient in our Cacao chai, and a significant component of many people’s diet this month. With Easter looming, try to seek unprocessed versions of this bean so that you can still offer your body a good dose of magnesium, antioxidants, and a range of nutrients that can help keep you healthy and energised this Easter.

Cinnamon
Cinnamomum cassia, more commonly known as cinnamon, has long been used to flavour food and as a natural treatment or a variety of health conditions. At a time of year when our blood sugar could be in need of some “regulation” the wonderful blood sugar regulating benefits of Cinnamon could be welcomed. It also offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits and also supports digestive function and circulation.

Cardamom
Elettaria cardamomum is a small shrubby plant that produces a bright green pod, commonly known as Cardamom. This aromatic spice offers antioxidant properties that support digestive function and encourages an anti-inflammatory response. We fairly source this wonderful ingredient from the growing community in Sri Lanka.

This lovely cup of chocolatey goodness will be the perfect addition to your Easter breakfast and what is left of the packet after Easter will keep you warm over the upcoming winter months.
