The aromatic spices of star anise, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom perfectly compliment cacao, which is rich in antioxidants and magnesium. Theobroma cacao, is the main ingredient in our Cacao chai, and a significant component of many people’s diet this month. Cinnamomum cassia, more commonly known as cinnamon, has long been used to flavour food and as a natural treatment or a variety of health conditions. It also offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits and also supports digestive function and circulation.
Elettaria cardamomum is a small shrubby plant that produces a bright green pod, commonly known as Cardamom. This aromatic spice offers antioxidant properties that support digestive function and encourages an anti-inflammatory response. We fairly source this wonderful ingredient from the growing community in Sri Lanka.
