A few years ago, Salty Cabins’ owners were planning an exit strategy. They wanted to slow down, live a more fulfilling and sustainable life, and be a part of a community that shared their love for easy, simple and conscious living. They had the idea of building an ‘eco-retreat’ and hit the road to stay in some of Australia’s finest eco-friendly weekenders for inspiration. After a few years, they began creating what is now called Salty Cabins.
Salty Cabins provides a chance for people to switch off and experience a taste of a more self-sufficient way of life. They are part of the 1% for the Planet community, donate $20 of each stay to Sea Shepherd Australia and also plant a tree in honour of each of their guests. They are an indulgent earth-friendly getaway, close to Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads but also far enough to unwind, disconnect and escape the crowds. It is a luxurious cabin experience that also gives back to the planet.
Alonside their network of off-grid sustainable escapes, they also build carbon-neutral, off-grid modular cabins and tiny homes, delivered to your door – Australia wide. All of their buildings are handcrafted from renewable resources and delivered whole and complete directly to your site.
