Jacky Winter Waters

Operating as a creative refuge, Jacky Winter Waters is a place to experience the magic of Walkerville’s magnificent beaches.

The inspiration behind the idea

Carefully designed with minimalism in mind, the house was built as a vessel for visitors to experience the beauty of its surroundings. With an overall footprint of just 30sqm, Jacky Winter Waters provides shelter in its purest form — somewhere to cook, somewhere to bathe, and somewhere to rest. The large corten steel deck that wraps the property is a platform for living outside — well equipped with a dining setting, couch, outdoor shower and fire pit.

What is unique about Jacky Winter Waters?

Nestled within the towering bushland that overlooks South Gippsland’s spectacular coastline, it offers expansive views spanning as far as Wilsons Promontory. The house stands in stark contrast to the rugged cliffs in which it was built to admire — and is secluded from the public yet openly exposed to the sea.

What you might not know about them

Jacky Winter Waters is owned and run by Jacky Winter founder, Jeremy Wortsman, and his partner, writer and editor Lorelei Vashti. What the future holds for The Jacky Winter Group

Stay tuned for Jacky Winter Park, a project inspired by the immersive tranquillity of its surrounds. The Jacky Winter Group are working towards lifting their artistic ventures off the ground, with the hope that a creative public space will eventually emerge in the Dandenong Ranges.
