The inspiration behind the idea

Part of the Peninsula Hot Springs Group, Peninsula Hot Springs is an award-winning geothermal hot springs and day spa based on the Mornington Peninsula. Founded by brothers Charles and Richard Davidson in 1997, the inspiration for the project began when Charles visited several hot springs while living in Japan in 1992.

Today, the ever-expanding Peninsula Hot Springs Group is spearheaded by founder and Creative Director Charles Davidson in partnership with co-owner Bharat Mitra (chairman and owner of Organic India). Both Charles and Bharat are passionate about wellness and are committed to expanding the industry, sharing the healing benefits of geothermal water and reconnection through bathing practices with the community.

What is unique about Peninsula Hot Springs?

From the mineral-rich geothermal water which fills the pools, to the clean, filtered drinking water available throughout the hot springs, their water detoxifies the body and rejuvenates the spirit.

High in mineral content, their water comes straight from the earth’s core. Peninsula Hot Springs is a filtration hot spring with surface water estimated to have been deep within the earth for more than 10,000 years.

Peninsula Hot Springs is an award-winning natural hot springs, day spa and wellness destination located on the Mornington Peninsula, just 90 minutes from Melbourne that provides an idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. They were recognised for excellence with their first Victorian Tourism Award in 2010 and have been inducted into the Victorian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame in Health and Wellbeing, Tourist Attraction, and Ecotourism categories.
