A popular choice from our Wellness Tea range – find out if our Calming blend is right for you.

Why we created Calming Tea

We wanted to offer people a herbal tea specifically designed to support their nervous system, which can be enjoyed any time of day or night, without the additional sedative effect that our Sleep Tea offers.

Who will enjoy our Calming Tea?

Our Calming Tea is one of our most popular blends, enjoyed by many for different reasons. You will love our Calming blend if you have been feeling stressed, exhausted, anxious, or just have difficulty winding down at the end of the day. This is our go-to afternoon herbal tea, and is suited towards those who enjoy refreshing, calming and relaxing herbal teas that balance mint, lemon and delicate floral flavours, and can help you wind down in the evening. Being a gentle herbal tea, our Calming blend can also be enjoyed by children.

What is in our Calming Tea?

Our naturopath has carefully selected this blend of organic herbs including chamomile, lemon balm and lavender, which have traditionally been used to help relax and calm the nervous system. This is a gentle herbal blend, with subtle hints of mint and lemon, complemented by the soft floral tones of chamomile and lavender. All of the ingredients in this blend are gluten free, and vegan friendly.

We source the ingredients for our Calming Tea from India, China, and Egypt – and they are then hand packed with care, by us, in Victoria, Australia.

Does it actually work?

Herbs including Chamomile, Lavender, Peppermint and Lemon balm, have traditionally been used to support the nervous system and help reduce anxiety, nervous tension and support healthy sleep cycles. By replacing caffeinated drinks that make it more difficult to wind down in the evening, with more calming and supportive herbal tea blends like our Calming blend, your body will naturally find it easier to relax and experience a more rejuvenating sleep.

How much tea should I drink?

To experience its benefits, we recommend drinking 1-3 cups per day. Our Calming Tea has been designed by our Naturopath to support the nervous system, and is based on herbs which are completely caffeine free, so you can enjoy it at any time throughout the day. If you are having our Calming Tea to support healthy sleep, we recommend consuming it within 2 hours of going to sleep.

What is our packaging made from?

The clear pouch that holds our Calming Tea is also not made from plastic. It is made from a renewable plant-based cellophane, which can also easily be home composted and will break down in a few short months if composted correctly.

The cardboard is made from post-consumer recycled board, is printed with vegetable-based inks and can also be home composted after use where it will break down in a few short months if composted correctly.

Our pyramid tea bags are not made from plastic. They are made from a biodegradable, non-GMO, plant-based material called Soilon, which meets all compostability standards in Japan, North America and Europe. However it is important to note, they will definitely take longer than other compost items to decompose. The material manufacturers recommend commercial composting as a quicker alternative to address this longer time of breakdown.

If you are looking for the most environmentally friendly option, we will always recommend drinking loose leaf tea.
