Sourced directly from the Hunan province of south central China, this Sencha tea is produced using more unique production methods to regular green tea. Once harvested, Chinese Sencha undergoes an initial steaming method, rather than the more traditional frying method. This type of production results in a lighter and more delicate, grassy flavour, than pan fired tea. Often chosen for its soft vegetal tones, this Chinese Sencha is a delicate and unique variation to regular Chinese tea.
Place a heaped teaspoon (2.5 grams) of tea per cup (250ml) into a teapot or infuser. Add filtered water at 70ºc–80ºc and allow to infuse for 3–4 minutes. Strain the tea and serve.
